Caruncho PA provides complete Architectural Services, specializing in residential and low-scale commercial, institutional projects. Caruncho PA, was founded by architect, Juan Caruncho who believes in working closely with the Client throughout the design development process. This relationship best provides the opportunity to produce the highest quality Architecture within the parameters of the client.

Juan Caruncho- Principal

Juan A. Caruncho R.A. holds a degree in Architecture from the University of Miami, and has been a registered Architect since1995 in the state of Florida.

Upon graduation, Caruncho worked briefly with the award winning architect Ronnie Mateu and subsequently was appointed as one of five designers at the firm of Spillis, Candela and Partners.

Caruncho worked on a significant number of projects including large scale mixed use designs and several sky scrapers in the United States and abroad.

Juan Caruncho, formally apprenticed at DPZ Architects, Inc. under the supervision of Architects; Andres Duany and Elizabeth Plater Zyberk. During these five years, Caruncho developed his skills in Neo-traditional town design and Architecture. Caruncho, served as member of design team or project manager, on over forty projects both in the United States and abroad, including Canada, Caribbean, Turkey and The Philippines.

In 1995, Caruncho, partnered and founded CMA Architects, Inc., where he remained as the sole registered architect and architect of record, for a large number of projects which included the construction of fourteen projects. These built projects include custom designed homes, student services building and entry at Florida Memorial College, and the science building and Library at Carrolton School of the Sacred Heart.

Caruncho’s work has been recognized in several publications including Progressive Architecture, Architectural Record, Southern living, Casas, The Miami Herald and The Classicist.
